TUCSON, ARIZONA—A 20-year-old man later identified as Brandon Paul Castel was shot and killed at an east-side apartment complex on Tuesday night.

According to Tucson Police spokesman Sgt. Pete Dugan, the shooting occurred at about 10 p.m., at the address 8485 E 22nd Street near South Camino Seco.

Police received a call and responded within minutes. By the time the police officers arrived, however, they spotted a strange sight. There was a vehicle running in the middle of the parking lot, not in a parking space. Inside, they found a grisly scene: a young man shot multiple times.

The police found the 20-year-old Castel inside the car with gunshot wounds. He was taken to Banner University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Some of the people at the scene of the crime told the police some details of what happened. Witnesses told police that they saw people running away from the vehicle after they heard gun shots. However, they were unable to identify any of the others involved.

Police didn’t charge anybody yet. No suspects are in custody. Hopefully, the police will be able to find someone and charge them soon. However, we’re not holding our breath, as this is a large city. Finding a person without any identifying details in Tucson is nearly impossible.

There were two homicide crimes happening in Tuscan overnight. Police are investigating both cases. In the second incident, a woman died on the north side of the city. Her assailant is also still at large.
