Kia has created a new iteration of the Niro and the Soul with 2023 model year intros for both of those well-performing models from their lineup. Kia in the meantime, has decided in their infinite wisdom, to draw attention over to the third subcompact SUV in the U.S. lineup: the Kia Seltos. Aside from the front-wheel drive services of it’s cousins, the 2024 Kia Seltos provides compatibility as Kia’s SUV, complete with all-wheel-drive.

To drive home this fact is visible in introducing a new X-Line trim with more of a rugged look to the Seltos. All in the manner of distinct 18-inch wheels, trim-specific grille design, and even special badging, along with other things.

With no X-Line kit, the 2024 Seltos uses a number of design improvements, nearly all of which had been previewed by the Korean-market Seltos revealed by Kia in June. Notably, this also involves a revised front end with a large grille, with new front and rear faces, and a new full-width taillight design as well.

Power continuously operates from one of two four-cylinder engine options: a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter or a turbocharged 1.6-liter unit.

The one from before mates to what seems to be a continuously variable automatic transmission or CVAT. That allows the driver to see its stable of horses grow by one to 147 horsepower. However, the latter benefits from a 20-horsepower bump, netting a total of 195 horsepower. A new eight-speed automatic transmission replaces the current car’s seven-speed unit.

The Kia Seltos uses a new cabin with plenty of convenience items like adaptive cruise control, but the items are actually linked to the top-line Seltos SX as the LX, S and EX trims are also available. The Power is dispensed from a variety of energy producing engine options. It’s also very evident that the new transmission comes in the form of an eight-speed transmission.

The 2024 Kia Seltos has a base price risen in accordance to the 2023 Kia Seltos’ price of $24,185. You should be expecting the revamped Seltos to hit the dealerships in the early half of 2023.
